Ministry of National Defense issued a press release to clarify the case of “the personnel change of the General in the Army approved by the President.” (February 23rd, 2018)

Ministry of National Defense claimed today (02/23) that the service of the General had been arranged for the personnel change with the approval of the President:

  1. Admiral Pu, Tze-chun, the Deputy Minister, Ministry of National Defense, had been appointed to be the military strategy consultant of Presidential Office for the mission requirement.
  2. General Shen Yi-ming, the Commanding General of the Air Force, strived to promote the interaction of international military affairs, indigenous fighter plane program, combat operation and training, and disaster prevention and rescue with great contribution during his service in the Air Force Command Headquarters. The position had been accomplished for 3 years and 1 month; therefore, he had been appointed to be the Deputy Minister, Ministry of National Defense, to continue the promotion of military affairs with his abundant experience.
  3. The above personnel change shall become effective from March 1st, 2018.
